Organize PDF
Reorder, delete, duplicate and rotate PDF pages, then save a new copy.
Files are processed entirely in your browser — they're never uploaded to a server.
Use the buttons under each page to move, turn, copy or remove it. With a mouse you can also drag pages into a new order.
Rearrange the pages of a PDF before you share it
Organize PDF shows every page of a PDF as a thumbnail, so you can put pages in a new order, turn the ones that are sideways, copy a page, take out the ones you don’t need and add blank pages. When the layout looks right, you save it as a new PDF.
Everything happens in your browser. The PDF isn’t uploaded, and the file on your device isn’t changed — you get a separate, organized copy.
How to reorder, rotate and delete PDF pages
- Drop one PDF on the upload area, or click it to choose a file. A card appears for each page, labelled with its page number in the original file.
- Use the arrow buttons under a page to move it one place earlier or later. With a mouse you can also drag a card onto another one.
- Use the turn button to rotate a page 90° clockwise, the copy button to duplicate it, and the bin button to delete it.
- Click Add blank page to put an empty page at the end, then move it to where it belongs. Reset brings back the original order if you want to start again.
- Check the page count above the thumbnails, then click Save PDF. The new file downloads with -organized added to its name, so report.pdf becomes report-organized.pdf.
What the organized PDF keeps
- Pages as they were: pages aren’t redrawn or recompressed, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
- Bookmarks, form fields and links: they stay in the file. Bookmarks and links that pointed at a deleted page no longer go anywhere.
- Deleted means removed: deleted pages and anything only they used are left out of the new file, not just hidden.
- Copies: a duplicated page shows the same content and keeps its links and comments. Fillable form fields appear only on the first copy in the new order.
- Blank pages: take the size of the page that is last at the moment you add one, as it appears on screen — a landscape last page gives a landscape blank page.
When reorganizing pages helps
- Scans in the wrong order: put double-sided or loose sheets back in sequence and turn the upside-down ones.
- Trimming a document: drop blank scans, outdated pages or an appendix before sending a file.
- Print layouts: add a blank page so a chapter starts on a right-hand page.
- After combining files: join documents with Merge PDF, then fine-tune the page order here.
Tips for a tidy result
- Thumbnails are drawn a few at a time as you scroll, so a long PDF opens quickly; pages further down show “Loading…” until you reach them.
- To pull a few pages into a separate file instead of rearranging the whole document, Split PDF is quicker.
- Once the order is final, number the pages with Add Page Numbers to PDF.
Page buttons, keyboard use and rotation
Using the keyboard
Every action is a real button, named with the page it belongs to, such as “Move page 3 earlier”. After a move, keyboard focus stays on the same button of the page you moved, so pressing Enter again keeps moving it. At the start or end of the list the button is marked unavailable instead of disappearing.
Rotation is added to the page’s own
Some pages already carry a rotation setting. Turning a page here adds to it, and the thumbnail shows the result. The small badge on a card shows how far you have turned it; four turns bring it back to where it started.
Organize PDF: common questions
Is there a limit on the PDF size?
The tool takes one PDF up to 200 MB with up to 500 pages, which keeps the thumbnails manageable for a browser. For a longer document, split it into parts with Split PDF, organize each part, then merge them.
Can I undo a change?
Each action can be reversed by hand — move the page back, turn it three more times, or delete a copy. Reset undoes everything at once and restores the original order. Nothing is saved until you click Save PDF.
Are deleted pages really gone from the file?
Yes. The new file is written without them, along with images and other content that only those pages used. Bookmarks and links that pointed at them are cleared.
Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?
Encrypted PDFs, including some that open without a password but restrict editing, can’t be changed here. Remove the protection first. A file marked as not readable is usually damaged or isn’t a real PDF.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Reading the file, drawing the thumbnails and building the new PDF all happen in your browser. The PDF tools on this site work the same way.
